The Post-tribulation Rapture U-turn… NOT!

The pre-trib doctrine tells us that the Post-trib doctrine is ridiculous because of a massive u-turn that would be required to take place.  I know that the pre-trib supporters make this claim of the post-trib view, but I don’t find it in the post-trib doctrine.

Here is what happens.  We meet Jesus in the air/clouds… 1 Thess. 4:14-17, Matt. 24:29-31, … where we rendezvous.  Jesus is not headed for heaven but rather for the Mount of Olives… Zech 14:4,5.  Jesus rules and reigns for 1000 years on Earth with the martyred tribulation saints… Rev. 20:4.  Yes, Jesus had gone and prepared a place for us in heaven, that where He is there we may be also…John 14:3, but we are with the Lord, and He is not in Heaven, but on Earth for 1000 years.

Notice that only the DEAD get incorruptible bodies, not the raptured… 1 Cor. 15:51-54.  The raptured get physical immortal bodies like Adam and Eve had in the garden prior to the fall due to sin.  “… by one man’s sin, death entered into the World…”  The bodies that the raptured receive are not glorified heavenly bodies as many brainwash in their teachings.  The raptured do not need glorified heavenly bodies, because they are with the Lord, who is on Earth for the next 1000 years.

  1. When anyone asks if I am a pre, mid, or post trib ‘harpazo’ believer, i simply tell them that I believe in the last trump. And since there is a last one, then there must be a series of trumps. Oh, yes, God has revealed a series of trumpets to us in His Word.
In regards to the U-turn position, my understanding is that we do meet Jesus in the air and return with Him. The Greek word translated “meet” is only used 4 times in the NT. The other 3 times it is used, it is used with the idea of meeting the person and returning with them. See Matt 25:1,6 and Acts 28:15 and of course 1st Thess 4:17

    1. I see that you state that your position is that we meet Jesus in the air and return with Him. Meeting Him in the air is indeed very Scriptural, however returning with Him (to heaven) is not. Acts 1 informs us that Jesus will return in like manner that He left. He left from the Mount of Olives to the sky to heaven. He will return in “like manner,” as we are informed in Acts 1. Therefore when we meet Him in the air, the direction that Jesus is headed is not heaven, but rather the Mount of Olives. If you are stating that by returning with Him in the direction of the Mount of Olives.. I totally agree, as does the Word of God. However if you are assuming that the return is heaven, then your belief is based upon speculation that is not Scriptural. You will also note that at the time that we meet Him in the air, we are changed…in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. Those who are dead and who’s bodies have been corrupted by rotting in the grave will receive new physical, earthly bodies at that time… in the air….1 Cor. 15:24-54. These are flesh and blood bodies which they will need to rule and reign with Christ for 1000 years on Earth. Without them they would be disembodied spirits… unable to physically reign with Christ. Flesh and blood does not inherit the kingdom of Heaven, nor does the physical body belong in heaven. Why would they be receiving there new Earth suits to rule and reign with Christ on Earth at this time, if they were headed back to heaven?
