The Second Coming is not in the Word

Many terms used today aren’t in the Bible.  Such terms as Rapture and Second Coming.  Yet the Bible has names for this event that shows its significance.  Paul calls the event, “the resurrection of the dead,” in 1 Cor. 15:42 and “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,” 2 Thess. 2:1.  Peter calls the event, “the day of the Lord.”  The Word also describes the event … such as…  “a sign of the Son of Man will appear…” (Matt. 24:29-31), and “the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout…”   (1 Thess. 4:16,17).  However, in these passages the event is not named.  Unfortunately those with an agenda to divide this event into multiple returns needed to come up with names to accommodate their agenda… These names are: rapture and second coming.

Up until recently, I thought it was okay to use the term “Second Coming.” I made the mistake of thinking that everyone understood that I was speaking of the event of Christ’s return at the end.  However, I had overlooked the fact that when the term “raptured” was coined, at the same time the term “second coming” was also coined. (see John Darby’s book, The Secret Rapture of the Church, circa 1830)  The term can be easily viewed by the Post-trib position that the first time Jesus came as a Lamb to the cross, and the second coming is His return…. as the Word of God states in Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for Him shall appear a second time without sin and unto salvation.”  This verse is the only one in which the Word uses the word “second” in light of His return.  Concerning the content of this verse, the pretrib camp would have to place the timing of Hebrews 9:28 reference to the word “second” on their event of the rapture and not their event of the second coming.  Thus the word “second” as Scripture uses it would fall incorrectly according to the pretrib doctrine  that claims and extra-biblical event.  Pre-trib camp see the term “second coming,” as they coined it;  for the purpose of dividing the return of Christ into two events…. the rapture being the first and the second coming being the second.  As a result, I find myself mending my ways.  I see that I need to stick to the terms that the Bible uses and not those that are used to push man’s agenda.  I will have to stop using the term “second coming” and stick with the “resurrection of the dead”, “the Day of the Lord” and, “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,” so that I do not fall into the agendas of men.

Both Jesus and Paul warn, “take heed that no man deceive you…” concerning His return (2 Thess. 2:2, Matt. 24:4.   The terms “second coming” and “rapture” are coined by man with an agenda, with intent to deceive.  Without the words “rapture” and “second coming,” the pretrib camp would be in a quandary on how to present their doctrine, do to the doctrines absence in the Word.   The doctrine is always taught by man and cannot be found in the Word of God.  No wonder we are warned to take heed that no man deceive us concerning this event.

We are not appointed to Wrath

Pre-Tribulation view:

Reason:  We are not appointed to God’s  Wrath therefore we must be raptured prior to the 7 year Great Tribulation Period.

Assumption:  The Greek; Thymos and Orge are one in the same God’s eternal wrath vs. temporal wrath

Assumption:  There is a 7 year Great Tribulation Period

Assumption: There is a rapture event separate from the second coming event.

Pre-wrath view:

Reason:  We are not appointed to God’s Wrath therefore we must be raptured out prior to the time of God’s Wrath.  The time of Tribulation and the time of Wrath are two separate times, and these distinctions can be seen in the Word.

Assumption: The Greek; Thymos and Orge (Greek words for wrath/anger) are one in the same, God’s eternal wrath vs. temporal wrath

Assumption: There is a rapture event separate from the second coming event.

Post Tribulation view:

The time of God’s wrath is an non issue.

Reason:  There word “wrath” in English is derived from two separate Greek words, “thymos,” and “orge.”  They are not the same.  One shows an eternal nature the other shows a temporal and eternal one.  The wrath we are not appointed to is eternal Hell.

Scriptural support:  John 3:36 shows that the eternal wrath (orge) of God “abides” on those who do not believe.  1 Thess. 5:9,10 also shows this same exact word (orge) for eternal wrath.  We are not appointed to it, but to eternal salvation and eternally living with Him. Revelation14:10 orge (wrath) is defined as eternal wrath


Both the Pretrib and the Pre-Wrath views have the foundational reasoning for their view. This reasoning is derived from the concept of God’s Wrath.  These views base there reasoning on language translation errors in most English versions of the Word.


Removing Speculation in Eschatology Reveals the true Doctine

Paul tells Timothy in second Timothy, “avoid foolish speculation, knowing that it produces quarrels.”  If the church were to take a stand against speculation, assumption, opinion and conjecture there would be only one view left.

Jesus not only taught about His return, but He then modeled it. In Acts 1:9-14 we see Jesus leaving the Mount of Olives to the clouds/sky, to heaven. After which the disciples were staring up into heaven, obviously looking to catch a glimpse of more, but the more didn’t come. Instead they were asked why they were staring up into heaven. The disciples were then informed that Jesus would return in “like manner.” Like manner would mean that when Jesus returns He will return from Heaven to the sky/clouds to the Mount of Olives. He made it clear and simple.

Today many bible teachers are still staring up into heaven searching for the more that isn’t there, so instead they proceed to make it up. As a result, we have multiple doctrines that simply are not found in Scripture. We have the Temple being rebuilt, the sacrifices and offerings being reinstated, and again taken away. We have the anti-christ making a covenant with many, and a conjured event of alive saints spending time in heaven.  (Sure, Scriptures are sited AS IF they support these ideas, but the direct statements pertaining to these opinions are not stated directly in the Word.)  We now have a new word that is used to described to create another return of Christ. That word is “rapture.” This word is Latin in origin. First coined circa 1600 A.D. and was used to describe kidnapping and rape. The word was popularized by John Darby in the 1830’s in his book “the Secret Rapture of the church”, and since that time it has grown into being known as a first return of Christ, preceding a “second advent.” Without the coinage of this word, “rapture,” it becomes extremely difficult for its supporters to explain this conjured event. Some tell us that one is the day of Christ, while the other is the day of the Lord, as if Christ and the Lord are two separate entities. For those who don’t know; Christ is the Lord.     

 1 Cor.15:51,52, the pretrib doctrine focuses on these two verses out of context in a long passage leading up to them starting in verse 24, and totally miss the fact of the mystery revealed.  Instead the pretrib doctrine claims mystery and therefore obscurity.  With this obscurity they can make up any winds of doctrines that they wish.  However, Paul starts speaking of the return of Christ in verse 24.  By this he starts to lay a foundation for the mystery he is about to reveal.   Paul is known for calling himself a Pharisee of the Pharisees.  Contrary to the Saducees, the Pharisees taught that there were angels, the resurrection of the dead, and that man has a spirit as well as a body… see Acts,23:8.  Therefore Paul spent a great deal of effort debunking what the Saducees taught the people…. that there was no resurrection of the dead.  In this passage in 1 Cor. 15  Paul also went to great lengths to show that we have a spiritual body and a physical body.   We know that our spirits are eternal in nature and that our physical body becomes corrupted when it dies and rots in the grave.  We know that our physical body is mortal and that Adam brought about this mortality when he sinned, “…through one man, death entered into the world through sin…”  Prior to the fall in the garden, man’s physical body was immortal. Paul declares the revealed mystery of our physical bodies being changed. (our spiritual bodies are not mortal, nor corruptible, however our physical bodies are (corruptible as defined in Acts 2)).  When we meet Him in the air/clouds our physical bodies are changed…. those who are alive and remain, their bodies are changed from mortal to immortal… this is the reverse of what happened to Adam in the garden.  The dead saints receive AGAIN physical bodies… this time incorruptible ones that cannot rot in the grave.  At no time does the physical body ever go to heaven…. “…flesh and blood cannot inherit…”  When John was called up here… immediately he was in the spirit… Rev. 4:1,2.   The dead saints were perfectly happy and content in heaven without the cumbersome physical Earth suit necessary to survive on Earth.  However, all of a sudden they AGAIN receive a new physical Earth suit, at the time where Jesus is about to rule and reign for 1000 years.  Could it be that they actually need a physical body to rule and reign on Earth with Jesus for 1000 years…. absolutely…. this is the mystery that Paul is revealing.  Without a physical body the dead saints would be disembodied spirits still floating around in the spirit realm, not capable of ruling and reigning with Christ. on Earth for 1000 years.  Isaiah makes reference to these bodies in Is. 65:20. Those who are alive and remain never go outside of the sky/clouds realm of the Earth while alive until the 1000 years are over… of course, they can still reproduce.    However, the pretrib doctrine has these new bodies heaven bound…The conjure up that these bodies are glorified rather than what the Paul states here in the Word… immortal and incorruptible.  We do not get glorified bodies until the Father is revealed at the White Throne Judgement… see 1 John 2:1,2.   Their idea is totally unsupported by the Word and contrary to the mystery revealed by Paul, and contrary to what Jesus modeled in Acts 1.

The Rapture and Post Tribulation Don’t Mix

Peter, who traveled with Paul, taught and addressed the same people as Paul.  Peter wrote the church in his letters.  Peter was called a rock by Jesus and Jesus told him that on this rock I will build my church.  Peter taught the church the second coming resurrection, after which he inform them how to live because the heavens were going to pass away.  In this context of eschatology he then informs us that people twist what Paul teaches on this matter…. goes on to state that these people twist the rest of Scripture as well and then calls them wicked.

Knowing this we come to understand how messed up the views are that present speculation, opinion and assumption as main precepts of their doctrine.  Here are some examples of doctrine derived from speculation:

—Jacobs trouble is the great tribulation

—The temple will be rebuilt

—The anti-Christ will make a covenant with many

—The sacrifices and offerings will again be reinstated

—The restrainer is the church or Holy Spirit rather than a restraint

If these doctrines were more than speculations then we would be able to compare Scripture to Scripture to derive with the same conclusion.  However, all of these concepts are pure speculation resulting in no Scriptural support.

The concept of the “Rapture” has a different flavor.  Because the Word of God addresses this event in other terms such as the “resurrection of the dead,”  we cannot say that this event doesn’t exist.  It is true that the word “rapture” doesn’t exist in the Word of God.  The purpose for coining the word has an agenda in which to create another gospel.  That is the teaching of duel returns of Christ.

The Post Tribulational view in its purest sense is taught in Acts 1:9-12. Here Jesus models His return.  He leaves the Mount of Olives to the Sky/Clouds and then to Heaven.  The disciples are then searching the sky for more when they are questioned by two men.  They are then told that Jesus will return in “like manner” that He left.  So the purest sense of the Word is Jesus returning from heaven to the sky/clouds and the to the Mount of Olives.

I find it interesting that the disciples are questioned in their staring into heaven looking for more.  Today man is still searching for more, and fills in what they think are blanks.  Just because the Word doesn’t state something doesn’t give us license to make up whatever we want and indoctrinate the masses.  We need to take a stand against speculation and return to a pure doctrine.

The word “rapture” was first used in the application of eschatology with the direct purpose to deceive.  Perhaps the person who first used it didn’t have that deceptive intention, however when you do not love the truth, you will be pushed around by any wind of doctrine by the great deceiver.

The word to describe the “resurrection of the dead,” is harpazio in the Greek.  This word is correctly translated to “taken” in English.  Why then do we need a “Latin” term to define this word?  It is true that the Catholic church uses Latin, but their official stance on the term “rapture” is that it confuses people concerning the return of Christ.  How true!  The term rapture was first coined circa 1600 and meant kidnapped and raped.  Today that term is used to describe a conjured event of a return of Christ prior to when the Word states the resurrection of the dead happens.


The Bible tells the How, When, and Where of the Rapture

The Bible tells us how, when, and where He will return, even the exact moment… just not the time and date.


The how is told in Acts 1:9-12 where the angels inform the disciples that He will return in “like manner” that He left.  He left from the Mount of Olives, to the clouds, to heaven.  If He returns in “like manner,” then the order is:  from heaven, to the clouds, to the Mount of Olives.  (1 Thess. 4:16-17, 2 Thess. 2:1, Matt. 24:29-31, Zech 14:4,5)


Although the Bible tells us, “of that day, no man knows the day or the hour…” Matt. 24:36 and that Jesus will come as a thief in the night…Matt. 24:42,43, 2 Thess. 5:2, 2 Peter 3:10, Rev. 3:3-4,16:15.  Which “day” is it talking of in Matt. 24:36?  It is the day, just described of in the previous verse, the day in which heaven is destroyed… see Matt. 24:35.  2 Peter 3:10 gives us the same analysis:  ” But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away…”


The Word of God has simplicity.  It is matter of fact.  To find out the truth we need to keep to the facts.  When people start adding their speculations all sorts of winds of doctrines are conjured up.  Paul addresses this fact to Timothy in 2 Tim 2:23, “But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels” NAS.  There are serious quarrels concerning the events surrounding the return of Christ.  If the people of God were to take a stand against speculations, and choose to stand solely upon what the Word states, there would only be one view.  However, as it stands today, there are multiple views.  There is only one correct view.  All others are based upon speculations, assumptions and opinions.  Some of those views are very popular and are taught in Hollywood movies.


Rev. 22:12

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be

Rev. 22:12 informs us that the reward is WITH Him.  Often when people travel from afar they bring gifts with them to be handed out at their arrival.  Therefore, the arrival and gift giving often happens at the same time.  However, the gift giving cannot happen prior to arrival, if the gifts come WITH the giver. Therefore, it is interesting to note that the Bible states at what time the gifts/rewards are given… Rev. 11:15-18

[15] And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
[16] And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
[17] Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
[18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Take a look at some of the list of happens at the 7th trumpet..

1)  Time is no more…. Rev. 10:6,7

2)  The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of Christ… Rev. 11:15

3)  Christ rules forevermore… Rev. 11:15

4)  Not only does Christ have the power….  He uses it… He HAS reigned at this moment in time/7th trumpet!   Rev. 11:17

5)  God pours out His wrath on the dead… Rev.11:18

6)  He rewards His people… Rev. 11:18

7)  People can no longer destroy the earth… Rev. 11:18

8)  We are changed in a moment…. at the last trumpet…. 1 Cor 15:52

9)  The mystery of God is finished… Rev. 10:6,7

Notice that Christ rewards His people… Point number 6….  At this point the reward is given out


The Scripture also gives a very big clue and tells us when.  In 1 Cor. 15:51,52 Paul tells us that it is “at the last trumpet”
[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

Often this fact doesn’t fit several doctrines so those who believe those doctrines immediately dismiss this fact.  However, Rev. 10:7 and 1 Cor. 15:52 are the only two verses in Scripture that discuss the revealed mystery at the last trumpet. Take a look at Rev. 10:5-7

[5] And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven

[6] And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
[7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Digging still deeper into the Word.  Rev 10 tells us that John eats the scroll or little book that gives him a bitter stomach.  As a result he is told that he will prophesy again.  Is this not the climax of the chapter?  This brings about the result of God giving him another word to release to the people…  Rev. 10:11[11] And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings

Historians believe that John wrote the Book of Revelation in his 90s.  Some say it was written in 92 Ad others 95 during his exile to the island of Patmos when he recorded it.  It is believed that he was released and lived the remainder of his days in Ephesus where he completed the finalized Revelation and John.

So the question is when did he prophesy AGAIN.  John isn’t known historically as a prophet.  He is known as John the revelator because of the book of Revelations.

The obvious conclusion is that the seventh trumpet is the END of the first prophesy.  The angel had declared that “time is no longer” at the last trumpet just prior to giving John the little book,  You simply cannot have the big long list of finalized events such as Christ ruling and reigning forevermore and then chronological events in the next prophesy such as the antichrist reigning a couple of chapters later and think that the events are sequential.  The fact is that the first prophesy is finished at the 7th trumpet that shows finality, and John is about to prophesy again.

In Rev. 12 the second prophesy begins and it is sequential through chapter 16.   Note the absence of any angel leading John through this passage as the first prophesy.  The absence would would give opportunity for the presentation of the little book’s second prophesy.  Chapter 17 and 18 are explanatory chapters of that prophesy where the angel returns to explain them.

There must be two prophesies, because that would be the only way for the angel to swear correctly in Rev. 10:6,7, and for Christ to rule and reign forevermore in Rev. 11:15-18.  The the second prophesy is complementary of the first.  Therefore the trumpets and the vials/bowls are one in the same.   Note the announcement of the Rapture right before the 7the vial/bowl….

Rev. 16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame

This is the exact same message that was given the church of Sardis in Rev. 3:1-5.  If the trumpets and the bowls are one in the same, this placement of this verse absolutely complements the fact that Jesus comes at the last (7th) trumpet.

All of these verses pen point the same time.  1 Cor. 15:51,52, Rev. 11:18, Rev. 22:12, 2 Tim 4:1,2, Rev. 16:15.  It is all at the end of time.

Matt. 24 is for the Jews?

In order for the pretrib doctrine to have legs, the passage in Matt. 24:29-31 must be isolated for the Jews only.  Matt. 24:29-31 reads:

[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

Because this passage gives us a direct order of events that interferes with the pretrib rapture doctrine,  the doctrine must find a way to segregate this order of events so that it does not include everyone.

As a result, names must be given to the segregated.  One name we are told is the Jews and the other the church.  There are several problems in attempting this.  One is that Christ’s work on the cross has created “one new man” and eliminated this segregation of Jews and Greek see Eph. 2:11-15.

Another is the definition surrounding the saints/church/elect.  The church as described in the book of Revelation includes those who are not all heaven bound.   It is much like the church today.  It includes the hot, and the cold, and the lukewarm.  Includes those who overcome and those who do not. The parable of the sower also describes the church… the fertile soil (hot), those who love their “stuff” (weedy soil/lukewarm), those who have no heart for tribulation and persecution (stony soil/lukewarm), and those who go, just because their spouse or parents drag them to church (hardened path/cold).   Only the fertile soil is rapture material.  Only those who overcome are rapture material (Rev. 3:5).  The lukewarm of the church or those who do not overcome in the church, are vomited out of God’s mouth, and their name is blotted out of the book of life… Rev. 3:5, 16.  So here it is very clear, that the church itself is not raptured, but rather the only ones who are gathered together with Him are the saints or elect.  Which are fertile soil.  The church is no different than that of the 10 virgins found in Matt. 25.  All were earnestly awaiting the bridegroom, however only half made it to the party.  The other half were told “depart from me, I never knew you.”  That is very direct message, because if they weren’t invited into the heaven, then where are they to go?  The answer is Hell.  There are some who believe in second chances, but that is entirely speculative.

There are several problems with eliminating certain passages of the Word in an attempt to state that the passage is for a certain group.  First of all the passage must state that it is specifically speaking to a particular group, as it does when designating and isolating certain groups.   This passage does not.  Therefore, if one believes this passage is not for them, but points the finger at another, the door to pick and choose which Scripture is right for them is blown wide open.

For instance, if Matt. 24 is isolated for the Jews, what about the book of Acts?  In Act 1:9-12  the disciples see Jesus ascend into the clouds to heaven.  They are then told by heavenly beings, “this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”  This order of events is described in Matt. 24:29-31.  in Acts Jesus departs from the Mount of Olives, to the clouds, to heaven.  If He returns in like manner, then it is… heaven, clouds, Mount of Olives.  This does not describe a rapture event of heaven… clouds… heaven…. clouds…. Mount of Olives as the rapture doctrine teaches, but rather it describes the order that Jesus taught in Matt. 24:29-31.  If therefore Matt. 24 is for the Jews only, then Acts 1, must also be for the Jews only.  And if Acts 1 is for the Jews only… why stop there…. why not the whole book of Acts being Jews only.   What an absurd idea!

The pretrib doctrine teaches that Matt. 24 is for the Jews only, because they falsely believe that the time of Jacob’s trouble is the 7 year great tribulation at the time of the end.  The time of Jacob’s trouble has come and gone… it was between 70 AD and 1948 AD know as the Jewish diaspora.   Jer. 30:8 speaks of Jacob’s trouble, but Jer. 30, 31 is a TWO chapter prophesy that describes this time in which Israel is scattered to the ends of the earth and then gathered again (Jer. 31:8), not the time which is yet to come.  Approx. 12 million Jews were killed during the Jewish diaspora… 3 Million on the onset… to 6 by 164 AD when Jerusalem was eliminated of Jews and was “trodden down of the gentiles” Luke 21:24…. fulfilling the time of the gentiles.  Hitler killed a final 6 million Jews at the end of the diaspora.  This is indeed the worse time ever for Israel.   For more on this topic, see my previous post:

Answers to when the Rapture happens.

Two people were walking down the street discussing their plans for the following week.  One person tells the other that he intends on going golfing on Tuesday.  The other person asked back, “Is that the first Tuesday of the week or the second?”  Confused the first person inquires, “What do you mean, there is only one Tuesday in a week?”  The second responds, “Well the first Tuesday, we call the Rapture, and the second is the ‘Second Coming’.”  The first responds, “That sounds pretty messed up to me.”  The second continues,  “The first is the ‘day of Christ’, and the second is the “day of the Lord.”  The first responds, “Didn’t you know?  Christ is the Lord!”  The second continues, “The first Tuesday Christ meets His people in the air (1 Thess. 4:17), but the second He meets them in the clouds (Matt. 24:30).”  The first declares, “That sounds twisted to me!”

You’ve heard of the war tactic, ‘divide and conquer’?  Here the enemy of our faith has attempted to divide the coming of our Lord as well.  The term “rapture” was first coined for this very purpose.   Prior to the 1800’s the term “rapture” to describe the coming of Christ was non-existent.  It was first made popular in John Darby’s book called, The Secret Rapture.   Today, the term to describe the coming of our Lord is commonly referred to as the “rapture,” however, the coming of Christ that is commonly referred to by this term, “rapture,” is conjured up and there is not a single Scripture to back its existence.

Here is what the Word of the Lord states:

  • 1 Corinthians 15:51-54  Behold, I tell you a mystery:  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed–  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on imortality.  So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on imortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

So often this verse, we are told by man, is talking about the “rapture,” however, the context and the Word of God call it “the resurrection of the dead.”

  • 1 Corinthians 15:42  So also is the resurrection of the dead.  The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.

In this chapter (1 Cor. 15) it begins speaking of the return of Christ in verse 24.

Although the ‘resurrection of the dead’ is a different event than the ‘gathering together with Him,’ that many now refer to as the “rapture,”  the events happen at the same time, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.” see 1 Cor. 15:51,52

The rapture doctrine attempts to create two “first resurrections” the first being at the “rapture” and then again 7 years later at the “second coming.”  By doing so this doctrine adds to the book of Revelation ignoring its warning in Rev. 22:18:

  • For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:  If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book.

Here’s what the book of Revelation has to say about the “first resurrection:”

  • Revelation 20:4-5  And I saw thrones, and they sat on them  and judgment was committed to them.  Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.  And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.  This is the first resurrection. 

Who is listed in the group of people for the first resurrection?  Those who didn’t receive the Mark of the Beast or worship him.  The ‘rapture doctrine’ informs us that the Scripture is incorrect… that the rapture is the first resurrection and that those who don’t take the mark are in the second resurrection.  The Word of God doesn’t lie… man does when he listens to the father of lies.  The ‘rapture doctrine’ is a doctrine of devils.  Just like there is only one ‘Tuesday; in the week… there also is only one ‘first resurrection’ of the dead.
