Multiple Scriptures confirm that the rapture is at the 7th Trumpet of Revelation

If the only Scripture to indicate that the last trumpet mentioned in 1 Cor. 15:51,52 were the 7the trumpet, then, of course, we’d have to reject the notion as mere speculation that should be avoided.  That is not the case.

First Paul tells us in 2 Tim. 4:1

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom.

and Rev. 22:12

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Both of these verses indicate that Jesus rewards the righteous and judges the wicked at His coming.  If this indeed happens simultaneous with His coming as the Word indicates, then the timing of when He rewards is also an indicator of His coming.  Also the “and His kingdom,” shows significance as to the timing is simultaneous with Jesus ruling and reigning forevermore.

There are several events that take place at the 7th trumpet:

1)  Jesus rules and reigns forevermore…

Rev. 11:15

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

2) Jesus judges the dead and rewards the righteous…

Rev. 11:18

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth

3) The mystery of God is finished…

Rev. 10:7

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets

Paul declares a mystery that the rapture happens at the last trumpet.

1 Cor. 15:52

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

So that is a half a dozen verses that all point to the same timing of the 7th trumpet, but that is not the end there is more…

  1. The Rapture happens at the sixth bowl judgement and before the seventh bowl judgement.

Here are scriptures to support my claim:

Revelation 21:1-2 – The New Heaven and New Earth
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev. 21:9 – The New Jerusalem
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

Rev. 16:15-16 – Sixth Bowl Judgement
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

    This is my point:
1.Even if a thousand years had already passed, It still had to be one of the seven angels who had the seven vials had to be the one be tasked to introduce to John the Bride, because it was during his time the rapture of the Bride happened. He is the more credible witness compare to other angels.
    2. A thief is not only known for coming at a time no one knows, but he is also known as someone who steals or snatch away something. If not, then what is the relevance of Jesus’ proclamation of this prior to the punishment of the Great Whore/Prostitute (right after Jesus gets His Bride) and the start of the armageddon war?

To make an emphasis on the principle that it needs someone who are present in the scene to be the one to stand as witness and someone who can show the subject, here are another scriptures:

Revelation 16:17-19 – The Seventh Angel of Bowls Judgement
17 And the SEVENTH ANGEL poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and GREAT BABYLON came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

    Revelation 17:1
17 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Though Rev. 17:1 does not specify which angel among the seven angels which had the seven vials, but in Rev. 16:17-19 it clearly shows which angel witness the punishment of the great whore/mystery babylon.

If you find this a very strong argument for the pretribbers, please help me spread this. I don’t know if they can still twist this, all the elements are there.

I would be most willing to contribute some more insights from time to time and given the opportunity, only to defend the post-tribulation rapture/resurrection truth.

    God Bless.
